Full Business Bio
Tracy Currie is a talented personal development coach whose clients describe her as creative, empowering, open, engaging and warm. She started her coaching career at Hewlett Packard Canada Co. (HP) where, as a manager, she introduced the concept of personal development coaching to her director and peers. In her coaching role she worked with individuals from all levels of the organization towards realizing their full potential, assisting them to successfully navigate through corporate and personal change.
After graduating from McGill University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Relations, Tracy began her career at a small company in Montréal as a junior in the accounts department. Recognizing that computers were the way of the future she revolutionized the way the small company conducted business by introducing and helping with the implementation of a computerized accounting system. This is where Tracy realized she had a gift for helping people adapt to change through innovation, creativity and relationship building. Her next role in a financial services company took her to a management position within a year. Here she danced with her leadership skills in a bilingual, multicultural and intergenerational environment.
In 1992 Tracy ventured from her native Montreal to Toronto where she took on contract work to familiarize herself with the new market. She secured a position with Revenue Canada as a GST Specialist and it was there that she was introduced to the complex world of Information Technology (IT). Her initiative and pursuit of excellence were soon noted and she advanced to the position of team leader for IT Support.
Building on her IT exposure, Tracy moved on to INTRIA-HP where she started as a hands on techie in the data centre installing and troubling shooting servers. Once again she was soon leading the technical team. Her leadership abilities were further recognized when she was promoted to Account Manager for a subsidiary of one of the big five Canadian banks and then subsequently to Governance Manager for the account. In this role she met weekly with senior executives from the client and HP to negotiate complex changes in their IT environment.
Based on her Governance knowledge and expertise she then joined a team dedicated to supporting the pursuit of new business for HP. Prior to beginning her final role at HP as an Internal Coach, Tracy had the opportunity to work in Asset Management where she led a global team of business analysts.
With this wealth of experience behind her Tracy has gone on to pursue her passion for personal development by achieving her accreditation as a Certified Professional Co-active Coach (CPCC) from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). She has simultaneously completed the advanced leadership program offered by CTI and is now available to guide others in their pursuit of excellence and personal fulfillment, through her own business, Studio for the Inner Voice®.
Tracy’s talent for helping others find their inner voice and strength is not her only passion. She is also an accomplished vocalist who has performed in venues as diverse as international jazz festivals, weddings and the club scene. She is currently learning how to surf. At this she is still a novice.
